What CashFusion is
CashFusion is a coordinated mixing protocol: many participants jointly construct a single transaction that combines all their inputs and redistributes equivalent value to fresh outputs. The result is a single on-chain transaction that obscures which input belongs to which output.
Status in Electrum ABC
CashFusion availability tracks upstream changes; check the Tools menu of your installed version to confirm. When present, it ships as an optional panel you start manually.
What to expect
CashFusion improves privacy by introducing ambiguity. It does not encrypt your balance, it does not hide your participation, and it does not defeat a determined chain analyst with rich auxiliary data. Use it as part of broader hygiene — fresh addresses, separate wallets for separate purposes — not as a single silver bullet.
Is CashFusion enabled by default?+
No. CashFusion is opt-in. You explicitly start a fusion round and choose how many coins to participate with. The wallet works perfectly fine without ever touching CashFusion.
How is it different from a regular send?+
A regular send broadcasts one transaction from your address to a recipient. A CashFusion round combines many users' inputs and outputs into a single shared transaction, breaking the on-chain link between your old and new coins.
Does CashFusion guarantee anonymity?+
No. CashFusion increases transaction privacy by creating ambiguity, not by hiding data on a public blockchain. Strong adversaries with extensive chain analysis tooling can still make probabilistic inferences. Treat it as a serious privacy improvement, not a cloak.
