Send and receive XEC.
To receive XEC
Open the Receive tab, copy the displayed ecash:… address, and share it with the sender. You can label the request so it shows up in your history when funds arrive.
To send XEC
- Step 01
Open the Send tab
Click Send. Paste the recipient's ecash:… address, enter the amount, optionally add a label.
- Step 02
Pick a fee
Use the suggested fee or override. Higher fees confirm slightly faster; XEC fees are minuscule either way.
- Step 03
Sign
Click Send. If your wallet is encrypted you'll enter the password; if you use a hardware wallet, confirm on-device.
- Step 04
Wait for confirmation
Watch the transaction in the History tab. With Avalanche it goes from unconfirmed to finalized in seconds.
What's the minimum fee?+
Electrum ABC suggests a fee based on current network conditions — usually fractions of a cent in XEC. You can override the suggestion in the send dialog. Below the network's relay minimum (1 sat/byte), a transaction won't propagate.
Why is my transaction unconfirmed?+
A transaction sits unconfirmed until a miner includes it in a block. On XEC this typically takes seconds thanks to Avalanche pre-consensus, but a low fee can delay it. If it's been pending for hours, you can bump the fee using Replace-By-Fee if your wallet has it enabled.
Can I cancel a sent transaction?+
Not in the strict sense. Once broadcast, a transaction is in the mempool. You can attempt to replace it with a higher-fee transaction spending the same inputs (RBF), if the original was sent as replaceable. Once confirmed, it cannot be reversed.
