Can I move a Cashtab seed into Electrum ABC (or vice-versa)?+
Sometimes, but not automatically. The two wallets can use different derivation paths for XEC. During restore, choose the matching BIP44 path — otherwise addresses and balances will not line up.
Does Cashtab support hardware wallets?+
Cashtab is a browser-first wallet without direct hardware-wallet integration. Electrum ABC signs XEC transactions with Ledger, Trezor, Coldcard, or Satochip over USB.
Which wallet supports CashFusion?+
Electrum ABC ships CashFusion in the builds that include the plugin, letting participants coordinate transaction merging to reduce address-linkability. Cashtab does not include CashFusion.
Can I run Electrum ABC headless like a server?+
Yes. Electrum ABC ships a CLI and daemon mode suitable for scripted receiving, payment processors, or watch-only monitoring. Cashtab has no headless equivalent.
Use cases
Use Electrum ABC when you care about cold storage, multisig, hardware-wallet signing, or running your own server. Use Cashtab when you want a fast, browser-based wallet for everyday sends and small balances.
Interop
Both wallets speak the same eCash protocol. You can send XEC freely between them. A wallet seed from one is not necessarily importable into the other — they use different derivation paths.
